Organized hiking excursions in the mid and high valley

In the heart of the Dolomites, every path tells a story.
And if you are guided by someone who has always known these places, the experience becomes even more authentic.

At the Hotel Castel Pietra, we invite you to experience the mountain with new eyes: those of the guides from the Dérbol association.
With them, you can participate in many guided excursions, designed for everyone, and immerse yourself in the authentic beauty of Primiero, among nature, history, and local traditions.

Among all the excursions, three are completely free for guests of the Hotel Castel Pietra.
Choose your favorite from these:

• Via della Frutta Antica
  An excursion through nature, traditions, and landscapes that will lead you to discover ancient varieties of fruit trees, along one of the most characteristic paths of the Primiero Valley. A pleasant itinerary that crosses woods, panoramic paths, and places rich in local history.
  
  🗓 When: every Tuesday in July, August, and the first two Tuesdays in September
  📍 Departure: Parish Church of Pieve - 9:00 AM
  ⏰ Duration: about 4 hours
  🚶‍♀️ Difficulty: easy, suitable for children

• Educational Farm at Malga Pala
  An authentic experience in the heart of the Dolomites, among pastures, animals, and alpine traditions. In the company of the guide, you will discover life in the malga, witness daily activities, and get to know closely the secrets of milking and mountain cheese production.
  To participate in the educational activity in the malga, a small contribution of 9 € for adults and 6 € for children is required, which includes the activity dedicated to discovering milking and cheese production, with a final tasting of some typical products from the malga.

  📍 Departure: Colverde Cable Car - 9:00 AM
  ⏰ Duration: about 4 hours
  🚶‍♀️ Difficulty: easy, suitable for children

• Survival Activity
  An adventure dedicated entirely to children. Through games, group activities, and simple orientation exercises, the little participants will learn to know the mountain while having fun, developing teamwork spirit and observation skills.
  Children will be accompanied on foot by the hotel animator to the activity location and brought back to the structure at the end of the experience.

  📍 Departure: accompaniment from the hotel to the activity location
  ⏰ Duration: about 2 hours
  🚶‍♀️ Difficulty: easy, for children aged 6 to 12, curious and adventure-loving.
