Skiing in San Martino di Castrozza

Most of the slopes are located within the Parco Naturale del Panevaggio-Pale di San Martino (Panevaggio-Pale di San Martino Nature Park), a real treat for people who love skiing in the Dolomites. There are more than 60 km of slopes here, with two fun snowparks for snowboarders: the one on Alpe Tognola and the one on the Colverde lift, where there is also an illuminated slope for night skiing.

It is also beautiful to ski at Passo Rolle, where the season is longer and runs from late November to late April.
Even cross-country skiing enthusiasts won't be disappointed: there are 30 kilometers of trails between Passo Rolle, San Martino di Castrozza, and Passo Cereda. If you're unfamiliar with the trails in San Martino di Castrozza, don't worry: a ski instructor is available at the hotel to provide you with all the information you need!

Snowshoeing is the ideal way to discover the Paneveggio Nature Park in winter. From Cima delle Scarpe to Val Venegia, from Laghi di Colbricon to Lago di Calaita, there are many possibilities with snowshoes on both easy trails and longer excursions.
If you want to enjoy breathtaking views, reach Cima Rosetta by taking the Colverde gondola lift to the Altipiano delle Pale: from there, with a half-hour walk, you will be on a natural balcony overlooking San Martino and the Cimone. Alternatively, the “Aquile di San martino” Mountain Guides organize guided excursions.

Ice skating in San Martino di Castrozza

In Fiera di Primiero, near Hotel Castel Pietra, you can ice skate thanks to the multi-purpose rink that, during the winter months, is transformed into a beautiful ice rink. And if you want to stop after your day on the ski slopes, you'll find a large, equipped rink in San Martino as well.
