Winter activities for kids
A skiing holiday with kids in the Primiero Valley
Stay with us on your next skiing holiday in Trentino with the kids: everything is magical at theActive & Family Hotel Castel Pietra. The snow-covered landscapes are an amazing spectacle for smaller children, and in front of the hotel there is loads of room for them to play, build snowmen or go sledging on a soft blanket of snow.
Skiing at Prà delle Nasse
Learning to ski in the Dolomites is simple, thanks to facilities designed for small children and individual or group lessons with ski school instructors. Prà delle Nasse features the ideal slope for families on a skiing holiday with kids for the first time – it’s wide, gets plenty of sun and is not too steep. In addition to the ski-lift there is a play area with toys which provides an occasional diversion from all the instruction.
Playground on the snow
Cereda Natural Park, 10 minutes from the hotel, is a great place for adults and kids to have fun: a large field covered in snow where you can slide on rubber snow tubes and sledges before using the convenient moving walkway to head back to the top. Once you’ve had enough fun, there is a bar with sun loungers and benches to relax in.
Martino The Naughty Wolf
If you’re on a skiing holiday with your kids and you fancy a nice ski on the slopes of Tognola, let the playgroup’s mascot Martino The Naughty Wolf take care of the kids. Kids can play in an attractive building under the guidance of qualified supervisors in the slope’s playgroup.
Children’s ski school
Your first time on the snow is an important occasion. Luckily, there is no shortage of skiing areas for kids where their first contact with the snow can be made on flat terrain, gradually building up their confidence.
Both Prà delle Nasse and Tognola have specialist ski instructors who offer individual and group lessons.
